Eat your greens! Or in this case, drink your greens. It’s important to get the proper nutrients in your diet and yes those leafy greens are packed full of essential nutrients and vitamins. I’ll admit sometimes it’s hard to keep track of eating enough of the right foods, but there are many delicious ways to sneak these leafy greens into your diet without solely consuming salads. One of my favorite ways is by blending them into a scrumptious smoothie bowl; filled with other nutrient packed fruits you won’t taste the greens just tropical goodness.

 

Ingredients

1 frozen banana

 1 handfuls of fresh or frozen mangos

2 handfuls of spinach

1 tsp of spirulina powder

1/2 cup of coconut water

1 scoopful of vegetable powder (optional)

Toppings (optional)

Kiwi

Fresh berries

unsweetened coconut flakes

granola

Method

Pretty simple and straight forward recipe which makes it all the more delicious just place all the ingredients in your Vitamix or blender and blend away until everything is well combined. Add more coconut water if you’d like to achieve desired thickness. Once everything is well blended and the right consistency pour into a bowl and top with your favorite toppings like the toppings I mentioned above. Now just grab a spoon and enjoy!
